Halfway through my undergraduate degree, I realized I didn't want to go the conventional way of math. Math to me is the way I visualize patterns and only one way to solve problems. In my experience being a Black female mathematician, I didn’t always come across people with a similar background. I continue to push for inclusive initiatives and the opportunity that there can be more women like me in this field.

I enjoy designing! Whether that be for the purpose of problem-solving, for play, or to uplift and share many voices, especially those that are marginalized. I have done this through working on AR gaming, UI designs for apps, and graphic designing for social media campaigns. It also brings me so much joy to design by teaching, I love showing people that they too can be great designers.

Photography was the second or third form of storytelling I developed. To this day it amazes me that a small device can freeze a moment, and you can embellish or even tell a true story based on one frame. I enjoy taking photos in my free time and working as a freelance photographer.

I love magazines! I enjoy every aspect of putting a publication together from start to finish even if it's just to share with friends my movie recommendations, or best restaurants I've discovered in the city. I’m a sucker for editorials! I enjoy making editorial designs, whether that be to attract new readers, or shed a light on people’s experiences.
